Ambrose
Also called Australian scramble
A scramble by another name, popular in Australia — the difference is how the team handicap is worked out.
- Players
- Teams of 2–4
- Scoring
- Net strokes
- Allowance
- Combined handicaps ÷ 8 for a four, ÷ 6 for a three, ÷ 4 for a pair
- Winner
- Lowest net team score
How it works
- 1Play as a scramble: everyone tees off, pick the best, all play from there.
- 2Add the team's handicaps together.
- 3Divide by 8 for a team of four, 6 for a three, or 4 for a pair. That's the team handicap.
- 4Take it off the team's gross score.
