How it works
- 1All four play their own ball off their allowance.
- 2On each hole, take the best two Stableford scores in the team (or one, or three — agree first).
- 3Add them up for the team's score for that hole.
- 4Most team points over 18 holes wins.
Ties
Level at the top? Compare the back nine, then the last six, then the last three, then the 18th. In stroke play, half, a third, a sixth and an eighteenth of the handicap come off each in turn.
Good to know
Popular for a big society: everyone keeps their own score, and a bad hole rarely costs the team.

Allowances follow the World Handicap System recommendations used by Golf Ireland. Your club or society may set its own — the entry sheet wins.
